Firefighter/Paramedic - East Lansing Fire Department

• Possession of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license with no restrictions or suspensions.
• Certified State of Michigan Paramedic preferred. EMT-B candidates will also be considered. Candidates who do not possess Firefighter I & II certification at the time of hire may be hired contingent upon successful completion of Firefighter I & II training sponsored by the City following hire.
  
  Certified State of Michigan Paramedic
• ACLS and BLS card holder.
• Certified in Haz-Mat Operations
• Physically and medically qualified to fulfill duties of the position as determined by a medical examination and drug screen performed by a physician of the City’s choice. Successful completion of a written, practical, and ability test is required to be eligible for the interview process.
