Description

We are looking for a skilled Attorney to join a prominent firm in the East Lansing area. This role focuses on litigation, with a strong emphasis on insurance defense and medical malpractice cases. The ideal candidate will possess excellent legal expertise and a commitment to providing top-tier representation to our clients.

Responsibilities:

- Handle litigation cases, including insurance defense and medical malpractice matters, from inception to resolution.

- Draft and file motions, briefs, and other legal documents to support case strategies.

- Conduct thorough legal research to ensure accurate and effective representation.

- Manage discovery processes, including document review and depositions.

- Represent clients in court hearings and trials, delivering persuasive arguments and maintaining professionalism.

- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and ensure comprehensive legal solutions.

- Analyze case details and provide clear recommendations to clients regarding legal options.

- Maintain timely communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress.

- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to litigation and insurance defense.

- Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all legal matters.

Requirements - Licensed attorney in the state of Michigan.

- Proven experience in civil litigation, particularly in insurance defense and medical malpractice.

- Strong skills in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

- Proficiency in managing discovery processes, including document review and depositions.

- Exceptional research and analytical abilities to support case development.

- Effective communication skills, both written and oral, for client interactions and courtroom presentations.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and attention to detail.
