Production Supervisor | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Supervise, train, and mentor production line personnel, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
• Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to troubleshoot equipment issues and improve processes.
• Enforce company policies and safety regulations, promoting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
• Manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of production personnel
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including lean principles and quality control
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP, MES)
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab)
• Bilingual (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin)
• Project management experience
