Quality Supervisor | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $68,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in East Lansing that are seeking skilled Quality Supervisors. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
• Supervise and train quality control inspectors and technicians.
• Conduct root cause analysis for product defects and implement corrective actions.
• Manage and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and audit findings.
• Lead internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve product quality and reduce scrap.
• Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for continuous improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality control or assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949) and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing quality teams, including performance management and training.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC) for identifying trends and driving corrective actions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 internal auditing
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
