Job Description
Dr. Kaisen Lin’s research group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic PhD student to join our team in Spring 2026 or Fall 2026. Our research focuses on biological aerosols and environmental health. The position includes full funding, covering stipend, tuition, health insurance, and annual travel support for conferences.
The ideal candidate will have a B.S. or M.S. degree in environmental engineering, aerosol science, or a related field. Prior research experience in air quality, environmental microbiology, or environmental health is highly valued but not strictly required. The successful student will work closely with Dr. Lin on projects that align with both the group’s research directions and the student’s interests.
