Postdoctoral Scholar-Fixed Term
Conduct research tasks under the supervision of Dr. Joodaky (e.g. data collection, modeling, simulation). Assist with analysis of materials and dynamics relevant to packaging. Support ongoing research projects; may participate in modest independent sub-projects as time allows, always aligned with supervisor direction. Operate and maintain lab equipment in packaging dynamics. Assist in preparing results for publication / presentation; coauthoring as appropriate.
Attend the related internal and external (e.g. conferences) meetings and present the studies. Expected to contribute to proposal writing if appropriate.

Doctorate
-Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Material Science
A PhD in Mechanical, Civil, Materials, Aerospace Engineering (focus on solid mechanics, dynamics / vibrations). Proficiency in Matlab and/or Python. Experience in Finite Element Method modeling (Abaqus, Ansys) or similar. Basic familiarity with machine learning (preferred). Some record of research output (e.g. peer-reviewed papers, conference abstracts) or demonstrable research capability.
Familiarity with packaging structures (corrugated boards, polymer foams). Knowledge of nonlinear dynamics, signal processing, composite mechanics, control theory and Energy Harvesting. Hands-on lab experience: DIC, universal testers, accelerometers, shaker tables, vibration instrumentation. Advanced/ deeper knowledge of machine learning. Some exposure to fluid mechanics or multi-physics modeling.
