Postdoctoral Scholar-Fixed Term
The Department of Chemistry at Michigan State University invites applications for a position of Postdoctoral Scholar. This position will support research projects in the area of developing new technologies for quantifying molecular parameters of polymer structure, including dispersity, tacticity, and co-monomer sequence. Responsibilities include characterizing polymer structure and studying its effects on material properties, as well as exploring applications of otherwise-inaccessible polymers.

Required Degree:
Doctorate
Minimum Requirements:
PhD in Chemistry and research experience in organic synthesis and characterization; demonstrated ability to design, execute, and communicate synthetic chemistry investigations independently and as a part of an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications:
Research experience in polymer synthesis and characterization; demonstrated record of intellectual, experimental, and communication contributions to peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations; demonstrated record of positive mentorship of junior researchers.
