Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
What You’ll Do
Provide on‑site support for Eaton’s UPS, battery, and power distribution systems. Tasks include emergency repairs, start‑up services, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic components to ensure peak performance and reliability for mission‑critical facilities.

- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics experience, including relevant coursework and internship experience.
- Regular Driver per Eaton’s Driver Safety Policy; requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
- Must pass customer entrance requirements (background checks, drug screenings).
- Daily travel to customer sites using an Eaton‑provided fleet vehicle.
- Support outside the immediate region within the USA for a minimum of three (3) weeks per quarter.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting/carrying 50+ lbs, pushing/pulling, standing for extended periods, climbing, squatting, bending, kneeling, and driving long distances.
- Reside outside the greater Toledo, OH area (unless active‑duty military).
- Require immigration sponsorship for this position (CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H‑1B, etc.).
- Associate’s degree in electrical or electronics, current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree engineering program, or applicable military training and experience.
- Three (3)+ years experience with power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics.
- Electrical Technology Certificate.
- Ability to read electrical component schematic drawings and apply troubleshooting, testing, and repair techniques.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, battery systems, and single‑ and three‑phase circuits.
- Strictly follow company/customer safety rules.
- Collaborate with Field Service Technicians, following direction from on‑site leads.
Competitive annual salary range: $69,000–$101,000. Location & TravelThis is a remote position based in a home office with daily travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays. Company vehicle provided. The position is based in the Toledo, OH area.
