ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. Acts as the primary point of contact for assigned patients and communicates with physicians regarding changes in patients’ clinical condition, hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.
Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or treatment response. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
- Basic Arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
