Distribution Assistant

ARC3 Gases Inc is seeking a reliable Distribution Assistant to support daily gas and welding supply operations in our wholesale distribution center. Responsibilities include pulling and staging orders, loading/unloading cylinders and packaged goods, checking shipping documents, and maintaining accurate inventory. You'll assist drivers, follow strict safety and handling procedures, keep the warehouse organized, and operate material-handling equipment. This role works closely with operations and sales teams to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries for industrial, medical, and specialty gas customers across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and stage gas cylinders and welding supply orders accurately
• Load and unload trucks using carts, pallets, and material-handling equipment
• Verify shipping documents, labels, and cylinder counts for accuracy
• Maintain organized, safe warehouse and storage areas
• Assist drivers with route staging and customer order preparation
• Follow all safety, PPE, and hazardous materials handling procedures
• Perform basic inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock rotation
• Assist with incoming shipments, inspection, and put-away
• Communicate with operations and sales teams on order status issues
• Report equipment or safety issues promptly to supervision
