Junior Spares Salesman

A client based in East London is looking for a dynamic Junior Spares Salesman to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales and Customer Service:

  • Engage with customers (e.g., repair shops, dealerships, and mechanics) to understand their needs for automotive spare parts.
  • Provide accurate product information, recommend suitable products, and generate sales quotes.
  • Assist with the order process, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding parts, availability, pricing, and order status.

• Product Knowledge:

  • Develop a good understanding of the automotive spare parts catalog and their applications in different vehicle models.
  • Stay updated on new product offerings, trends, and competitor products in the market.

• Administrative Support:

  • Maintain accurate customer records and orders.
  • Assist in managing stock levels, ensuring product availability for orders.

• Sales Targets and Reporting:

  • Support the sales team in achieving set targets and contribute to the overall sales strategy.
  • Track and report on personal performance and progress toward sales goals.

• Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Follow up on potential sales leads and ensure the resolution of any customer issues.

• Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Assist senior sales staff with marketing, promotions, and other sales-related activities.

Qualifications:

• • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of car parts and the automotive industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer skills.
  • A customer-focused attitude and willingness to learn.

Desirable:

• • Previous experience in sales or customer service, particularly in the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with automotive spares and their functions.
