Come work for a local-woman-minority owned company! Boston Speech Therapy is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will work directly under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide therapy services to students at an elementary school with diverse communication disorders. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to support students' speech and language development in an engaging and collaborative school environment.
The hourly rate for this position is between $45 and $52, depending on experience.
You must have a valid SLPA licence in MA. This is an in person job. We are looking for someone who can start immediately or in the next few weeks. Experience with Autism is a bonus.
Responsibilities- Assist the licensed Speech Language Pathologist in assessing and diagnosing clients
- Help implement treatment plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist
- Provide therapy sessions to enhance the speech and language skills of clients
- Document and monitor client progress accurately
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to educate and support them in communication strategies
- Work alongside other professionals to ensure comprehensive multidisciplinary care
- Engage in ongoing professional development to improve skills and knowledge in the field
- State certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Capability to follow directives and work under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Passion for helping individuals improve their communication abilities
