Maintenance Technician

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to support high-speed manufacturing of rigid plastic packaging. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and auxiliary equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. Responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; supporting installation and startup of new equipment; and documenting maintenance activities in a CMMS.

You will collaborate closely with production teams, follow strict safety and quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement in an innovative, sustainability-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production and auxiliary equipment in a high-speed manufacturing environment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
• Use CMMS to document work orders, parts usage, and maintenance history
• Inspect equipment to identify reliability and safety issues and recommend corrective actions
• Follow and enforce safety, quality, and housekeeping standards in all maintenance work
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance
• Assist with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
• Support on-call or off-shift maintenance coverage as needed
