Summer Playschool Assistant

Aides the Nova/Super Nova Assistant Manager in maintaining a Summer Playschool program for children consistent with the school year Novas/Super Novas Playschool that follows the Novas/Super Novas philosophy and emphasizes developmental readiness and the value of play while meeting the needs of all students as individuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Assistant Manager in carrying out weekly planned lessons and activities.
• Assist with the supervision of children in developmental activities, both academic and social.
• Reinforce established rules for behavior within the classroom setting.
• Interact with children to provide a comforting and nurturing environment, while ensuring the safety of the enrolled children. Demonstrate patience, compassion, and guidance appropriate for young children.
• Communicate effectively with children enrolled in the program and their parents.
• Assist in keeping the classroom clean and organized.
• Encourage active participation of all students. Interact and engage students to help enhance their academic and social development.
