Counter Salesperson Job Description

Assist customers with purchasing decisions, advise on selection, and process billing of materials. Engage in strong customer interaction through in‑person and phone communications. Answer phone calls from customers and vendors, set up deliveries, and advise on estimated time of arrival for materials. Interact with manufacturers regarding quotes and lead times. Use A+ to process sales on a regular basis. Training will be provided for candidates with transferable skills.

• Well spoken with a professional appearance.

• Experience with A+ and CRM is a plus.

We are a large corporate industry leader in building supplies, employing over 800 employees across Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. For compliance purposes for CT transparency, the expected salary range is $20.00 – $24.00 per hour. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
