Infinite Consulting Corp. is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Director to provide dedicated fire and life safety oversight at two healthcare facilities in Nassau, NY
Role & Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day fire and life safety oversight across the two assigned healthcare facilities.
- Support compliance with applicable fire codes, life safety requirements, facility procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct fire and life safety inspections and identify potential hazards, deficiencies, and areas requiring corrective action.
- Review and evaluate architectural, engineering, and life safety drawings/blueprints for fire and life safety considerations.
- Coordinate with facility management, contractors, project teams, and other stakeholders regarding fire safety requirements.
- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of fire prevention and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain appropriate fire and life safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
- Support corrective actions and follow-up activities related to identified fire/life safety issues.
- Provide professional fire safety guidance appropriate to an acute-care hospital and skilled nursing/extended-care environment.
- Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) credential is required.
- Minimum 5 years of dedicated professional fire and life safety experience.
- At least 2 years of direct fire/life safety oversight experience within a complex healthcare organization, acute-care hospital, or skilled nursing/medical facility.
- Must possess valid, applicable regional fire safety certifications equivalent to Nassau County Fire Marshal credentials, or FDNY F-89/T-89 Fire and Life Safety Director qualifications.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately read, interpret, and evaluate architectural, engineering, and spatial life safety blueprints.
- Strong understanding of fire prevention, life safety practices, inspections, and compliance within occupied facilities.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Prior fire/life safety experience within a hospital, healthcare system, skilled nursing facility, or similar medical environment is strongly preferred.
