Kindergarten Teacher Position
Ridgewood Elementary is seeking a kindergarten teacher for the school year. Qualification requirements include: 1. A valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS), endorsed for early childhood education or elementary education with a grade span including kindergarten.
2. Skills in teaching in a team atmosphere. This person will have responsibilities within the building as part of a Professional Learning Community.
3. Ability to build relationships and maintain high academic and behavioral standards for all students.
4. Competence in computer skills and use of other educational technology such as Smartboards, iPads, etc. 5. Strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students and families, to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential. Salary placement on the EMEA Certified Staff Salary Schedule. This position is benefits eligible. Benefits information can be found on the EMSD Benefits Website.
This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is part of the East Moline Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
