School Social Worker

East Moline School District #37 is seeking applicants for School Social Worker for the  school year. Qualification requirements include:

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS), endorsed for School Social Worker
• Skilled at working in a team atmosphere
• Responsibilities within the building as part of a Professional Learning Community
• Adept at building relationships and maintaining high academic and behavioral standards for all students
• Competent in computer skills and use of other educational technology such as Smartboards, iPads, etc.
• Strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students and families, to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential

Salary placement on the EMEA Certified Staff Salary Schedule. This position is benefits eligible. Benefits information can be found on the EMSD Benefits Website. Under the EMEA Collective Bargaining Agreement, this position is eligible for a $5,000 hiring incentive which requires a 5 year commitment to working in the district. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is part of the East Moline Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
