We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to serve as the primary onsite technology resource for a growing manufacturing and operations environment. This role combines hands‑on technical support with strong customer service and relationship‑building responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys helping end users, takes ownership of issues from start to finish, and can effectively support employees at all levels of the organization.
This position offers an opportunity to work closely with business leaders, office staff, and production teams while partnering with a centralized IT organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring technology systems remain reliable, users receive timely support, and new technology initiatives are successfully implemented at the local site.
Key Responsibilities- Provide desktop and laptop support for end users
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and related technologies
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and basic administrative tasks
- Respond to and prioritize service desk requests
- Escalate complex issues when necessary and coordinate resolution efforts
- Deploy, image, configure, and maintain end‑user devices
- Track technology assets and support hardware lifecycle management
- Assist with user onboarding, workstation setup, and equipment deployment
- Troubleshoot printers, peripheral devices, and local office technology
- Provide basic support for networking, server, and communication systems
- Support security awareness initiatives and end‑user security best practices
- Maintain documentation and contribute to process improvements
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand and address technology needs
- 3-5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or help desk environments
- Experience supporting Microsoft‑based technology environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests and manage competing priorities
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and relationship‑building abilities
