Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, Embedded OS with John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group, you will join a team based in East Moline, IL;
Cary, NC;
Urbandale, IA; or Fargo, ND. You will:

* Perform embedded systems engineering tasking including requirements analysis, operational concept development, software system design/architecture, component integration, design reviews, controller integration testing and problem solving

* Develop embedded operating system software for vehicle controllers in C

* Create test automation using python frameworks

* Assign, coordinate, and review work from other engineers and support personnel

* Analyze issues and drive resolution of root cause issues

What Skills You Need

* Demonstrated proficiency in embedded software development using the following skills:

* C/C++ programming language

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Demonstrated problem solving skills

* Ability to work in a self-directed environment

What Makes You Stand Out

* Technical experience relating to design and diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems

* Experience developing low level and middleware drivers for hardware peripherals

* Experience with CAN communications protocols such as the automotive ethernet, J1939 and ISO 14229 standards

* Experience with AUTOSAR and John Deere proprietary operating systems

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Agricultural Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent work experience
