Senior Fund Accountant @ Fund

Our client is an ward-winning global asset management firm seeking to add a Senior Fund Accountant to its growing accounting and finance organization. This is a highly visible role that sits at the intersection of fund accounting, financial reporting, valuations, and investment operations, with direct exposure to senior leadership. The Senior Fund Accountant will oversee a diverse set of domestic and international investment vehicles, partnering closely with third-party administrators, reviewing the financial reporting package, creating marketing materials, and working closely with the PMs.

• Oversee day-to-day fund accounting for a portfolio of domestic and global funds, including NAV oversight, capital activity, and period-end close processes
• Review and challenge third-party administrator deliverables, including NAV packages, financial statements, trial balances, and investor reporting
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory standards
• Partner closely with portfolio managers and investment teams to support fund performance analysis, capital activity, and investment-level reporting
• Assist in the preparation of marketing and investor materials, including performance reporting, fund fact sheets, and ad-hoc investor analytics
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers across tax, audit, legal, and compliance functions
• Support new fund launches, restructurings, and liquidations, including setup, documentation, and operational readiness

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of experience in fund accounting, asset management, or public accounting with investment management clients
• Strong understanding of fund accounting concepts, NAVs, capital activity, and financial reporting
• Experience working with third-party fund administrators and reviewing administrator-prepared reporting packages
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with fund accounting systems a plus
• CPA or CPA-track preferred (but not required)
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally with investment teams
