Jaquar University Program Detail
The East Orange School District is proud to offer a Dual Enrollment Summer Program in partnership with Essex County College:
Jaguar University. This exciting opportunity allows selected students to earn both high school credit and college credit by successfully completing Math 100 and English 101 during the summer term.
Classes will be held at Campus High School, providing students with a familiar and supportive environment while engaging in true college-level coursework. Taught in collaboration with Essex County College, the program maintains collegiate expectations and rigor, helping students experience the pace, independence, and academic standards of college classes.
Students will participate as part of a cohort, building a supportive learning community while strengthening their academic skills and confidence. By completing these courses, students gain an early start on their college journey, earn transferable college credits, and reduce future tuition costs, all while still in high school.
The East Orange Board of Education approved this program on February 17, 2026, demonstrating the district's commitment to expanding opportunities that prepare students for success after graduation. This dual enrollment experience supports college readiness, academic growth, and a smooth transition to higher education while giving students a meaningful head start on their futures.
