Summary

The Industrial Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing operational efficiency and productivity across multiple distribution facilities. This involves analyzing existing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, implementing best practices, and providing technical expertise to drive cost reductions, improve quality, and enhance overall performance. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial engineering principles, experience working in a multi‑site environment, and excellent project management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed performance analysis of processes, material flow, and resource utilization across assigned sites; identify bottlenecks, constraints, and areas for improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives using lean principles, Six‑Sigma methodologies, and other relevant techniques; lead kaizen events and workshops to engage site teams in problem‑solving and process optimization.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently from initiation to completion, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery that meets defined objectives; develop project plans, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization across multiple sites; develop standardized work instructions, procedures, and best practices; facilitate knowledge sharing and implementation across the network.
  • Contribute to design and optimization of facility layouts to improve material flow, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency; collaborate with CAD and simulation software and other engineers.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities; coordinate a standardized PDCA approach and reports to track KPIs and monitor progress.
  • Identify and implement cost‑reduction initiatives through process optimization, waste elimination, and improved resource utilization; develop cost‑benefit analyses for proposed projects.
  • Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams—distribution, quality, supply chain, and engineering—to ensure alignment and effective implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and coaching to site personnel on industrial engineering principles, lean techniques, and other relevant topics.
  • Travel regularly (minimum 33 % of the time) to assigned distribution sites, including multi‑day or multi‑week trips, and provide support as identified.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a supply‑chain related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with at least 2 years in a multi‑site environment or ownership of major project management activities.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of industrial engineering principles including process mapping, time study, motion study, value‑stream mapping, and statistical process control.
  • Proven experience leading and implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works) is a plus.

Salary

$96,000 – $102,000 (actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, education, and skill level).
