Become part of our team and start your career Service Engineer will primarily work towards project/operations in the IAT/FAT and SAT stages and follow up commissioning activities at customer job sites in collaboration with the Service execution team.
The Service Engineer will execute testing of Palfinger MHS products in close collaboration with the PL technical department / technical lead.
- Operational Execution & Planning:
Carry out testing, installation, commissioning, warranty, service, and maintenance tasks based on detailed work packages and plans, including mobilization and demobilization meetings, scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and HSE considerations. - Compliance & Safety:
Adhere strictly to Palfinger Marine’s and customer HSE policies, travel regulations, working hour provisions, and participate in safety routines like Tool Box Talks and Safe Job Analysis. - Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate daily updates including service reports, punch lists, non-conformance and HSE registers, and ensure all documentation is stored on designated platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Basecamp, Smartsheet). - Workplace Standards:
Ensure a clean and organized work environment, promote a high-performance culture, and secure external approval of time sheets on a daily/weekly basis. - Additional Duties:
Perform other assigned tasks as needed to support project success and continuous improvement through lessons learned sessions with product owners.
- Technical education or equivalent combination of education/experience in one or several of the following disciplines:
Mechanical / hydraulic, Electro / Automation / PLC, Siemens - TIA / S7, HMI, Frequency Drives - Maritime / Offshore experience is an advantage
- Good English language skills written and spoken
- Excellent cooperation and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Ability to systematically fault trace complex technical issues
- Structured, creative and have the ability to multi-task
- Qualification for offshore health certificate is mandatory
