Title: Project Manager
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Customer: Johnson & Johnson Services, Inc
Key Job Responsibilities- Develop and maintain an integrated project schedule for a Front End project executed by an external engineering team, coordinating dependencies, milestones, deliverables, assumptions, and change impacts.
- Manage phases including Requirements Documentation, Prototyping, Design, Verification, Validation, and Product Quality and Regulatory documentation.
- Provide Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) support, developing schedules, and ensuring adherence to design controls and cross-functional readiness activities.
- Work with project teams and management to resolve resource gaps.
- Identify project critical path and roadblocks, offering solutions.
- Assist in identifying appropriate project strategies to deliver scope or improve delivery as appropriate, following the Ethicon Endo Mech & Energy product development process with a focus on quality.
- Assist in managing project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques.
- Communicate project status to all stakeholders, including meeting minutes, dashboards, and stakeholder reviews.
- Partner with R&D Technical Lead and Supply Chain Lead to manage the package and label development, DHF updates, Design Reviews, and Supply Chain readiness efforts.
- Lead bi‑weekly LCE Council meetings, including agenda development, capturing input from team leaders, and distributing minutes and decisions.
- Provide project management technical support to LCE engineers leading their own projects, answering questions and providing assistance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in New Product Development.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a project manager effectively leading teams to deliver innovative products.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Development Industry.
- Proficiency utilizing the MS Office Suite (Project, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Proficiency using Smart Sheet for building project schedules.
- Experience leading team meetings and documenting outcomes.
- Problem‑solving ability and proficiency in verbal, written, and presentation communications.
- Ability to work independently, provide multiple solutions to problems, and effectively communicate options and trade‑offs.
- Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a fast‑paced environment.
- Well organized, self‑motivated, upbeat, creative, and resourceful.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, management, and collaboration qualities.
- Demonstrated success in leading a Product Development project from concept through market introduction.
- Prior experience working at a company with knowledge of existing systems and procedures.
- Experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Experience with Endo Mech & Energy medical devices.
- Experience working with surgical staplers.
