Job Description
Associate IT Finance Manager
We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment, values the opportunity to make a difference, and can thrive as a conduit between IT and Corporate Finance. This manager reports directly to the Associate Director of IT Finance in the office of the CIO.
Responsibilities- Lead the development and execution of IT Financial Management operations, ensuring the IT Budget is adequately managed and reported.
- Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections and operating forecasts.
- Lead the financial planning activities with the IT Leadership Team, supporting them with data‑driven analysis to facilitate wise investments.
- Establish and maintain relationships with the Finance Team.
- Ensure all financial tasks and processes comply with Corporate Finance policies.
- Conduct in‑depth conversations with finance teams on accounting policies, practices, tools, and techniques and apply them to the IT process.
- Influence IT leaders on financial matters.
- Prepare monthly capital and expense projections, providing variance analysis comparing actual spend versus budget and forecast.
- Perform and coordinate project‑based financial analysis and modeling to support capital and operational spend, including business case preparation and submission for financial investment.
- Support IT Leaders in creating project authorizations to obtain funding for IT investments.
- Develop a process to track and manage benefits after a project is completed.
- Develop and implement chargeback processes.
- Lead the month‑end process, ensuring all accruals and reclasses are in place in the proper period.
- Manage and analyze cloud costs to enable spend optimization.
- Analyze, optimize, and implement cost‑optimization actions over various cloud services.
- Bachelors Degree
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Preferred SAP knowledge
- Strong, effective interpersonal, oral and written communication
- Strong critical‑thinking skills
- Overachiever mindset
- Strong understanding of cloud technology, financial management principles, and data analysis
- Skilled in using tools and software to manage and analyze cloud spending data, such as cloud cost management platforms and data analytics tools
