Job Responsibilities
Seeking a passionate, dynamic and skilled bilingual Spanish Creative Arts Therapist (art, drama, music or dance/movement therapy or registered play therapist) to join an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals on the forefront of trauma-informed care in a creative arts therapy program for children exposed to domestic violence and their non-offending parents. This dedicated, reliable and flexible individual will be responsible for providing all aspects of trauma-informed individual, family and group therapy to both children and adults including intake assessments and treatment planning, documentation in the electronic health record system, and discharge planning.

- Treatment Planning: Develop client-centric treatment plans, contract with clients, and re-evaluate progress regularly.
- Clinical Interventions: Utilize appropriate interventions, including creative arts therapies, to address diverse client needs.
- Documentation: Complete all required documentation accurately and within Electronic Health Record guidelines.
- Education/Certification: Master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapy (art, drama, music or dance/movement therapy) or Registered Play Therapist and appropriate board certification and license required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience working with children and families who have experienced domestic violence.
- Training: Completion of 40 hours of domestic violence training mandated by the State of NJ upon hire.
- Fluency: Verbal and written fluency in Spanish.
- Knowledge: Psychiatric disorders, treatment modalities, community resources, and clinical interventions.
- Biopsychosocial assessments, differential diagnosis, and therapeutic engagement.
- Mobilize strengths, provide assistance in obtaining services, and create case formulations.
- Assess abuse and neglect, work with resistant consumers, and maintain strong communication skills.
- Open, warm, empathic, ethical, creative, organized, flexible, and dedicated.
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and seek continuous improvement.
Salary: $54,000
