Our client seeks an experienced IT Release Manager to lead release planning, coordination, governance, and execution for a large-scale Guidewire implementation and its supporting digital ecosystem. The role manages end-to-end release processes across Guidewire applications, digital platforms, integrations, environments, and enterprise systems. The position partners with Engineering, QA, Product, Platform/Dev Ops, Architecture, Infrastructure, vendors, and Business stakeholders to drive stable, predictable, and high-quality releases across the program lifecycle.

Rate: $85.00 to $95.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the integrated release calendar across Guidewire and connected platforms.
  • Coordinate release activities across development, QA, UAT, performance testing, and production deployment.
  • Drive release readiness reviews, go/no-go checkpoints, and deployment governance.
  • Manage release scope, dependencies, sequencing, and deployment timelines.
  • Coordinate cross-team implementation activities across multiple work streams and vendors.
  • Partner with Platform/Dev Ops teams to ensure environment readiness and deployment stability.
  • Coordinate code promotions across Dev, SIT, UAT, PERF, and Production environments.
  • Validate deployment plans, rollback strategies, and contingency procedures.
  • Align release schedules with infrastructure readiness and testing cycles.
  • Identify release risks, blockers, and cross-platform dependencies early.
  • Drive mitigation planning and escalation management.
  • Coordinate issue resolution across Engineering, QA, Platform, and vendor teams.
  • Ensure production support readiness and operational transition planning.
  • Partner with QA leadership to align SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing.
  • Ensure release criteria and quality gates are met prior to deployment.
  • Coordinate validation across Guidewire Core, Digital, Integrations, Earnix, and Data/Reporting work streams.
  • Provide executive-level release status reporting and dashboards.
  • Facilitate release governance meetings and stakeholder communications.
  • Maintain visibility into release health, risks, deployment status, and defect trends.
  • Drive post-release reviews and continuous improvement activities.
Experience Requirements
  • 7+ years in IT Release Management, Technical Program Management, or Delivery Management.
  • Experience managing enterprise‑scale application releases across complex distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery models, and Dev Ops practices.
  • Experience coordinating releases across multiple environments and integrated platforms.
  • Organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in fast‑paced delivery environments.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with Guidewire Insurance Suite (Policy Center, Billing Center, Claim Center).
  • Preferred:
    Guidewire Cloud implementation support experience.
  • Preferred:
    Insurance industry experience.
  • Preferred:
    Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release orchestration.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with tools such as Jira, Service Now, Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, and Git Hub Actions.
  • Preferred:
    Experience supporting SIT/UAT/PERF and production deployment activities.
  • Preferred:
    Understanding of API and integration‑heavy architectures.
