Union Post Acute is a long‑term care and rehabilitation community located in Union, South Carolina. We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities, maintain compliance with regulations, and provide high‑quality resident care.

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes appropriately.
- Supervise and support CNA and LPN team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation and resident records.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and families.
- Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing day‑to‑day nursing functions.
- Develop, maintain, and update written policies and procedures.
- Ensure nursing service personnel comply with procedures and regulations.
- Report to the Director on the operation of the nursing service department.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and facility surveys.
- Plan and participate in educational and in‑service training for nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintain supply levels of medications and equipment.
- Participate in the development and review of resident care plans.
- Assist in the planning of nursing services as part of discharge plans.
- Handle administrative duties such as medical forms, reports, and evaluations.
- Participate in committees (Infection Control, Pharmacy, Quality Assessment, etc.).
- Perform rounds and coordinate with physicians for timely documentation.
- Assist in managing emergencies and safety incidents.
- Active and unencumbered South Carolina RN license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Passion for providing resident‑centered care.
- Positive attitude and team‑oriented mindset.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a long‑term care facility.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and related regulations.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and solve practical problems.
- Maintenance of continuing education and licensing requirements.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN license in South Carolina and current CPR certification.
Physical DemandsRequire intermittent movement throughout the workday and the ability to lift or move residents up to 25 pounds over a distance of 50 feet. Must cope with mental and emotional stress.
Work EnvironmentWork in office areas and nursing care areas. Frequent interruptions and varying schedules are common. The role requires interaction with residents, staff, visitors, and authorities, often under stressful circumstances. Safe work practices and adherence to infection control procedures are mandatory.
