Overview
We are building the world’s most reliable relational database cloud service, solving challenges in distributed systems, concurrency, high availability, durability, performance, and performance engineering. Join a core group responsible for the availability and durability of the largest fleet of relational databases on AWS.
Responsibilities- Design and develop high‑performance, highly available, and durable distributed database services.
- Address complex problems related to large scale, growth, and cloud leverage.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to architect and implement new features and improvements.
- 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new or existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling).
- 1+ year of experience as a software development engineer or related role.
- 1+ year in designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ year of object‑oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Experience designing stateful Apache Flink applications with CDC ingestion, checkpoint optimization, and exactly‑once delivery into Apache Iceberg or similar lakehouse formats.
- Proven ability to build REST APIs for lifecycle management and deploy high‑throughput, low‑latency workloads on EKS/Kubernetes with a focus on auto‑recovery and zero‑downtime upgrades.
