Software Development Engineer, Aurora CP - Global Databases
Job : | Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc.
As an SDE II on the Aurora Global Databases team, you will design and implement software components that drive Amazon Aurora, a global, fault‑tolerant database service compatible with MySQL and PostgreSQL. You will contribute to high‑performance, highly available systems that support hundreds of thousands of users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver software features and improvements for core Aurora components.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Design scalable software solutions to enable new features or enhance existing ones.
- Write technical documentation describing software design or proposed solutions.
- Perform operational work to resolve customer issues and improve team operations.
- Participate fully in the software development life cycle, including scoping, design, coding, code reviews, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
