Security Officer Access Operations in Patchogue, NY. You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic education location where you will monitor access points, verify credentials, and support badge and visitor management while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This role may include routine patrols to help identify security‑related concerns, maintain a visible presence, and support a welcoming environment.

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational location.
• Monitor access points and help control entry and exit activity by checking identification, verifying authorization, and documenting visitor arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or conditions that may require follow‑up.
• Support daily campus operations by providing directions, answering questions, maintaining accurate logs and reports, and reporting security‑related concerns according to site procedures.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
