SummaryThe administrative assistant is primarily responsible for performing general and confidential secretarial and administrative support duties including processing, preparing, and maintaining records, expenditures, and schedules for a major department or division.
CompensationAdministrative Assistant - Dean: $ an hour.

- Complete administrative support tasks supporting the department such as maintaining files, scheduling appointments, typing letters and/or memos, running and verifying reports, processing data, processing requests, preparing meeting minutes, and gathering information.
- Provide customer assistance by answering telephone calls, forwarding calls, greeting students, staff and the general public, referring individuals and inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Troubleshoot problems serving as the front-line representative of the department.
- Establish and maintain confidential files for the department.
- Maintain databases, complete data entry tasks and run departmental reports.
- Maintain departmental budget records of travel, supply and capital orders, general stores requisitions, and purchase orders.
- Maintain and distribute forms and/or supplies relevant to department procedures and functions.
- Schedule meeting rooms and activities at the direction of the Dean of {department}.
- Perform related duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience working in an administrative role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong typing skills a minimum of 45 words per minute.
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others.
- Associates degree in a related field.
- Experience working in an educational system.
- Experience working with People Soft, Workday, and Coursedog.
