Adjunct Faculty
- Industrial Electrical/Maintenance Instructor
Illinois Central College is looking for Adjunct Faculty to teach Electronics. The Adjunct Faculty will provide instruction to adverse group of students in the area of electronics, industrial electrical, motor controls, PLCs, and digital electronics.
Adjunct Faculty are primarily responsible for instructing assigned courses meeting classroom standards. The Adjunct Faculty must follow institutional syllabi. Additionally, Adjunct Faculty will be required to maintain office hours to best ensure student success. Adjunct Faculty teach on a part time basis up to 12 contact hours per semester.

Essential Functions
- Instruct and coordinate courses including lecture and/or lab-based classes ensuring all necessary materials and tools are readily available and that safety standards are met, when appropriate.
- Follow syllabi for assigned courses communicating the expectations and schedule for the classwork.
- Maintain office hours and availability.
- Communicate with students working to ensure student success.
- Collaborate with Faculty and Staff to continuously improve and adapt the student experience to meet the needs of the student, community and institution.
- Perform related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2000 hours of work experience in industrial electrical, industrial maintenance, or related field.
- Ability to instruct students by explaining, demonstrating and overseeing their exercises and giving advice on the immediate topic.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Industrial Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, or related field.
- Five years' experience in teaching Industrial Electrical Technology at the college level.
- Two years' experience as a trainer in Industrial Electrical Technology or related area.
