Job Overview
The Assistant Director of Academic Affairs is responsible for academic advising, program development, and recruiting activities for the Master of Arts in International Migration and Refugees (MIMR) program at the Institute for the Study of International Migration (ISIM).
This role manages MIMR admissions and recruitment, coordinates with the ISIM Director and faculty on program and curriculum development, and develops outreach activities related to current students, alumni, and other stakeholder groups.
Responsibilities- Academic advising for MIMR students.
- Program and curriculum development in collaboration with ISIM faculty.
- Admissions and recruitment management for the MIMR program.
- Outreach activities with students, alumni, and stakeholder groups.
Reports to the Director of ISIM. Works closely with the MIMR Associate Director, faculty, staff, and students of the Institute and graduate program, as well as SFS and University offices and external audiences. Designated as Hybrid.
Requirements and Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 3‑5 years of related experience in academic administration, including curricular and advising responsibilities for graduate or undergraduate students.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in program administration related to international migration and refugees strongly preferred.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to responsive student services.
Projected salary: $47,586.00 – $87,558.13.
