LAN Network Engineer

Description

We are hiring a LAN Engineer for an Engine Equipment Manufacturing Company. As the LAN Engineer you will have the opportunity to work both independently and part of complex network team. The LAN Engineer will develop relationships and support a wide variety of network-related solutions. Together, you will technical and functional understanding to solve problems.

• Use technical and functional skillset to solve critical business problems.
• Support LAN team to provide support for locations across the Americas.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues and replace defective components as needed.
• Respond as needed to support requests that relate to LAN development and support.
• Provide off-shift support for critical incidents.
• Rotate on-call schedule, requiring occasional off-shift and weekend support calls.
• Work directly with business partners and vendors to integrate infrastructure.
• Design and implement process improvements to aid in development and support.
• Follow ITSM process and documentation for all changes.
• Collaborate with other technical teams as needed to plan and execute changes to firewall, VPN, wireless, NAC, etc.
• Advise business partners regarding technical questions/issues in the LAN space.

This is a Contract position based out of East Peoria, IL.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. This is a fully onsite position in East Peoria, IL.
