Mechanical Engineer

Overview and Responsibilities

Research and investigate the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices. Research and analyze customer design proposals and specifications, and determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects. Investigate equipment failures and diagnose faulty operation, making recommendations to the maintenance crew. Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment, or software.

Salary $79,000+/yr DOE. Position is in East Peoria, IL.

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 1+ years experience in Mechanical Engineering (design, development, or product management).
• Experience in industrial/production engineering.
• Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
