Summary:

The Drivetrain Component Team has design responsibility for parts used across machines. This role is a Design Engineer in the Drivetrain Castings Component Team support clutch housing, reaction hubs, and motor cooling housing. Tasks will be directed by a Senior Engineer on the team and include concept modeling, stress & life analysis, assessing part nonconformance risk, amongst others.

Responsibilities:

• Concept design and part modeling using Creo.
• Stress & life analysis
• Assessing risk of part nonconformances
• Reviewing PPAP information
• Participating in CPPD discussions with suppliers

Education & Experience Required:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Creo
• Understand basic geometric tolerancing
• Proficient in Creo Simulate FEA
• Experience in steel or iron casting design
• Practical / hands-on experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude

Soft Skills:

• Strong initiative
• Can managing individual tasks to meet deadlines
• Open to input & feedback from others
• Works well with other engineers, suppliers, and internal process partners
• Eagerness to learn new things

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $38.00 - $42.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, 10 paid days off, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
