Part-Time Sales Associate

Cloud9 Cannabis is seeking part-time Sales Associates for our dispensary in East Peoria, IL. In addition to joining an incredible team, our team members will also enjoy tips, an hourly rate starting at $16 per hour, and weekly discounted samples that are valued up to $300! We also offer an employee discount of 30%.

Our Sales Associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service and developing rapport with patients, vendors, service providers, and staff. They effectively communicate cannabis knowledge to customers and team members, recommend products, and help select the proper medicine to meet individual needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a start‑up cannabis organization that will continue to grow throughout Illinois. The candidate must be motivated, positive, and eager to assist our dispensary through startup operations.

• Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with Cloud9 standards.
• Develop and maintain rapport with patients, vendors, service providers, and staff.
• Ensure patients’ concerns and questions are solved/answered promptly and efficiently, and communicate patients’ requests and problems to management when needed.
• Recommend, select, and help locate the proper medicine for patients depending on their individual needs.
• Communicate the effects of different types of cannabis to patients clearly and effectively.
• Ensure strict controls to protect the organization’s assets at the direction of management.
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise, and monitoring floor inventory levels, as well as participating in inventory counts.
• Frequently maintain dispensary cleanliness (e.g., dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, and sanitization).
• Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Perform other related work as required.

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
• Retail, cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) experience preferred but not required.
• Prior experience in the cannabis industry preferred but not required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to pass all required background checks as it pertains to Illinois cannabis laws.
