Job Description:
IT OT Integration & Engineering
Engage with customer OT, MES, and IT stakeholders to understand integration requirements and plant architectures.
Design and implement IT OT integration using industrial gateways and middleware (e.g., Device Wise, Kepware, custom connectors).
Configure industrial protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, SECS/GEM, Ether Net/IP, and Modbus for equipment connectivity.
Perform tag engineering, namespace design, data scaling, scan rate optimization, and data quality validation.
Plant Floor Connectivity & Validation
Set up and validate secure connectivity between PLCs, SCADA systems, historians, MES, and enterprise platforms.
Execute network validation, latency testing, reliability checks, and failover validation for industrial networks.
Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and UAT activities.
Security & Compliance
Configure certificates, TLS, and authentication for secure OT IT communication.
Ensure compliance with IT OT cybersecurity best practices and customer security standards.
Collaborate with cybersecurity and network teams on segmentation, firewalls, and access control.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of OT systems: PLCs, SCADA, industrial networks, and shop floor devices.
Hands on experience with industrial communication protocols: OPC UA, MQTT, SECS/GEM, Ether Net/IP.
Experience integrating OT systems with MES, IIoT, historians, and enterprise platforms.
Working knowledge of industrial cybersecurity, certificates, and secure network design.
Tools & Platforms (Desired)
Industrial connectivity platforms such as Device Wise, Kepware, or equivalent.
MES platforms (Critical Manufacturing, Apriso, Ignition, Thing Worx, or similar).
Basic scripting and data handling (Python, SQL, REST APIs) for integration and diagnostics.
