Definition

The Supply Chain Planning Engineer (Warehouse Lead) is responsible for facility supply chain performance levels and corporate targets for inventory reduction, increasing inventory turns, and improving order‑to‑delivery results. This position leads facility efforts to run multiple projects to develop and implement the plan for every part, pull material replenishment, warehousing, autonomy, and improved throughput efficiency.

  • Deliver on key critical OPACC improvement initiatives including automated material handling and warehouse optimization
  • Identify, define, and implement integrated supply chain solutions and performance improvements, including building internal and external alliances to explore opportunities
  • Establish effective linkages, partnerships, and best practices with business partners and internal functions
  • Investigate and incorporate industry benchmarks, metrics and best practices to develop optimal supply chains for suppliers and/or product sets
  • Develop and analyze data and information to identify and prioritize opportunities for improving performance and creating more cost-effective supply chains, inventory utilization, and business partnerships
Degree Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience desired

    Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

  • Standard Operating Procedures – Level Working Knowledge.

    Knowledge of established standard operating procedures (SOP); ability to design, implement and evaluate standard operating procedures affecting daily and strategic business operations to increase operational efficiency.

  • Supplier Management – MFG – Level Working Knowledge.

    Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.

  • Supply Chain Management – MFG – Level Working Knowledge.

    Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.

Top candidates will also have
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or manufacturing engineering
  • APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification desired
