The Custodian performs assigned custodial tasks at the assigned job location, which include general cleaning of restrooms, offices, cafeterias, sales floors, and other areas as assigned. Tasks include buffing, scrubbing, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and operating equipment such as scrubbers, extractors, and buffers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform all general required tasks as directed by Lead Custodian or Crew Lead Supervisor.
• Use floor machines for buffing, stripping, waxing, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning safely, according to proper usage and schedule with store/customer.
• Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and management directives.
• Follow all company policies regarding safety, customer service, proper attire, and working conditions such as hours and timekeeping.
• Maintain uniform at required worksites.
• Perform janitorial/custodial tasks based on defined scope of work and customer requests, including:
  • Empty wastebaskets and replace liners.
  • Dust/clean tops of office furniture, desks, and tables.
  • Vacuum all carpeting.
  • Spot clean soiled areas.
  • Clean and sanitize toilets, basins, and urinals.
  • Clean counters, mirrors, and fixtures.
  • Sweep and damp mop floor with disinfectant.
  • Spot clean walls, partitions, and doors.
  • Refill all restroom dispensers.
  • Wipe/clean table tops and chairs.
  • Wipe/clean vending machines and appliances.
  • Clean sink and damp mop tile floors.
• Work nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Work independently and with a team.
• Attend periodic training and safety meetings.
• Read and communicate in English.
• Perform physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds, including bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, and squatting.
• Operate small power tools.
• Stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching into areas not fully air‑conditioned.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time, including climbing/descending stairwells and ladders.
• Work independently in stressful environments.
• Maintain regular, consistent, and predictable attendance.
• Optionally travel locally using a personal vehicle (approximately 10% of time).
• May have responsibility to enter customer facilities requiring background screening.

Prefer a high school diploma or equivalent plus 1–2 years of experience in custodial, janitorial, or cleaning services.

Spanish language skills are required; candidates must be able to read and understand Spanish.
