We design and manufacture the most comprehensive lineup of large diesel and natural gas engines, engine components and powertrains.

Are you looking for an opportunity to learn a specialized skill within a manufacturing environment? As an Assembly and Test Specialist, you will continuously improve process efficiency by performing routine assembly and test of assemblies of our prime product. Training is paid and held during 1st shift for 4-6 weeks at the facility. Upon completion of the program, individuals will be responsible for:

• Assembling / testing, reworking and repairing machine components
• Operate test machines to test final drive assemblies
• Prepare prime products and attachments for shipping
• Performs required salvage operations in assembly areas as necessary
• Disassemble and reassemble complex assemblies to repair or replace damaged component parts
• May operate remote control crane to specially equipped vehicles to transport prime product

• High school diploma or previous work/volunteer experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
• Ability to work overtime when required, including weekends
• Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• A mechanical background or industrial assembly experience
• Caterpillar will train applicants who have a strong employment history and work ethic

• Strong commitment to safety at all times
• Ability to perform simple computer operations
• Excellent attitude and willingness to learn

• Positions are available for 2nd shift in East Peoria Bldg. KK
• This is a supplemental position – minimum 40 hours per week with limited benefits available
• Pay is $23.22 hr
• Relocation is not offered for this position
• This position requires no travel
