Looking for an opportunity to become a more experienced welder, but have limited training? This is the opportunity for you! As a Supplemental MIG Welder with us, you will build on your training to set up, operate and adjust manual and/or automatic machines to perform welding operations in all positions.

• Pay: $23.22/hour + $1.00/hour off‑shift premium
• Welders may elect to receive a $4.00 per hour retention bonus upon successful completion of training.
• Incremental increases for every 26 weeks of active work.
• Opportunity to be converted to full time benefits upon successful completion of training.
• Shift: 3rd Shift — Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM

All required personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided, including safety glasses (with prescription options), air supplied welding hoods, and safety boot reimbursement.

• Perform MIG and GMAW welding on steel components
• Weld plain and alloy steel in all positions
• Operate robotic welding equipment in a production environment
• Follow standard work instructions, safety procedures, and quality requirements
• Perform carbon arc cutting and gouging
• Use overhead and jib cranes to position materials

• Previous MIG welding experience.
• Ability to pass Caterpillar welding qualification testing.
• Ability to work 3rd shift and overtime as needed

• Experience welding steel ½ inch thick or greater
  .
• Basic computer skills.

• Strong communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• 90 Day probationary period includes weld school training.
• This position is located in East Peoria Bldg LL.
• No relocation package is available.
• Must be able to pass welder qualification requirements during the Caterpillar provided training by a Certified Welding Educator (CWE), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or approved personnel.
