Packager, Manufacturing ​/ Production

The Packager position is responsible for the packaging of goods and materials relative to customer specifications with accuracy and quality. This position requires the de-consolidation of inbound loads and the preparation of packages for shipment.

• Ensures proper material handling and packaging standards are met.
• Performs accurate physical count of material quantity to resolve discrepancies.
• Uses work orders to ensure proper parts/quantity are available for shipment.
• Completes transactions in a bar code/scanner computer system.
• Properly packages and secures material to ensure material is not damaged during transportation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Some college/technical school or experience in a third-party logistics environment preferred.
• Previous experience using material handling equipment preferred
• Demonstrate an ability to use job specific hand held tools (bander, crowbar)

• Stand; walk; handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch;
• Required to stand for extended periods of time,
• Occasionally required sit,
• Lift heavy objects up to 35 pounds on a regular basis,
• Complete repetitive tasks with few breaks,
