JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

  • Time-sensitive responsibility:
    Ensures swift action to mitigate production downtime risks caused by quality issues.
  • Cross-functional collaboration:

    Facilitates alignment across teams to drive resolution and maintain operational continuity.
  • Workload balance:
    Reduces the burden on other team members currently handling these tasks, thereby improving overall morale and productivity.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review rejects from both incoming quality inspection and production floor.
  • Investigate critical quality issues, create problem statements and communicate to the cross-functional team.
  • Manage and coordinate the containment activities (sorting/rework) to minimize the impact on production operations due to quality issues.
  • Support problem solving and continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordinate the disposition of Process Change Notifications and Deviations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry

REQUIRED TECHNICAL

SKILLS:

  • Data Collection & Analysis – Ability to gather, interpret, and present data for decision-making.
  • Problem Solving & Critical Thinking – Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Blueprint Reading – Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical schematics.
  • Gages & Measurements – Skilled in using precision measurement tools to ensure quality standards.
  • MS Office Suite – Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Internal Combustion Engines – Understanding of engine systems and related technologies.

DESIRED

SKILLS:

  • ASQ CQE certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology/science
