Senior Environmental Technician

WM is seeking a Senior Environmental Technician to support our essential environmental and waste management services. In this role, you will perform field sampling, site inspections, and waste handling at WM facilities and customer locations. You will operate monitoring equipment, document results, and help ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and local regulations. Working closely with operations and safety teams, you'll contribute to spill response, remediation, and continuous improvement efforts in a culture that prioritizes safety, integrity, inclusion, and long-term career growth.

Responsibilities

• Collect soil, water, air, and waste samples following established protocols.
• Conduct site inspections at WM facilities and customer locations for environmental compliance.
• Handle, label, and stage hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely.
• Operate and maintain environmental monitoring and sampling equipment.
• Document field activities and prepare accurate reports and logs.
• Support spill response, remediation, and cleanup activities as needed.
• Follow all WM, EPA, OSHA, and local safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with operations teams to improve environmental performance and sustainability.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
