What you will do
- Serve as a troubleshooter and service expert for security systems and related equipment.
- Alleviate customer concerns and advise customers and the customer care center on system status and inspections.
- Repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, Card Access systems, and other security equipment.
- Work independently from a remote location with the necessary tools and equipment.
- Provide customers with the highest level of service to resolve building inefficiencies and service-related items.
- Offer solutions and outcomes at the time of service as a trusted advisor.
How you will do it
- Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring; readjust, repair or replace inoperative equipment, and test for operation.
- Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
- Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
- Service and repair commercial security, fire alarm, CCTV, and card access systems; provide recommendations to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
- Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-4 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
- Experience with Card Access, CCTV, IP cameras.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Electrical/Electronic background.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred
- Fire alarm experience preferred.
- Some college preferred.
- NICET II or greater preferred.
Hiring details
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26.06 - 35.82. Hourly rate to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
