A Johnson Controls Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert who alleviates customer concerns regarding security systems. You will advise the customer care center of system status, repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, and card access systems, and provide the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies.

• Locate and resolve issues with damaged equipment or wiring, readjust, repair, or replace inoperative components and test for operation.
• Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs and coordinate inspections or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
• Serve as a commercial service technician for security, fire alarm, CCTV, and card access systems.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently.
• Upsell opportunities and provide quotes to support recommendations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3‑4 years of experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product lines.
• Experience with card access, CCTV, or IP cameras.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Electrical/electronic background.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred:
  Fire alarm experience.
• Some college preferred.
• NICET II or greater preferred.

$26.06 – $35.82 per hour, based on education, experience, and skills.
