Security Service Technician

Job Overview

• Repair, replace and troubleshoot burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, card access and other security equipment.
• Perform inspections, coordinate with police, fire departments and other agencies, and prepare trouble order forms.
• Identify and resolve issues in equipment or wiring, readjust or test for operation.
• Advise customers and the customer care center on system status, including upselling opportunities and provide quotes.
• Work independently from remote locations with the necessary tools.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-4 years installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
• Experience with card access, CCTV and IP cameras.
• HIRSCH Certificate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Electrical/electronic background.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred:
  Fire alarm experience, NICET II or greater, some college.

• Hourly rate: $23.07 – $31.73, based on qualifications and market data.
